My Thai wife Is Pregnant Can I Get A Visa

My Thai wife Is Pregnant Can I Get A Visa

Your thai wife can obtain a visa to travel to Australia. It is understandable that any father would like his child to be born in Australia. If your Thai wife is refused the visa or she is more than 7 months pregnant and unable to travel to Australia, do not Panic.

When your Child is born in Thailand, first your child will be registered in Thailand and you will be given the birth certificate. Your name will be put in Thai on the Birth certificate and I strongly suggest that you have the Birth certificate translated to ensure that your name has correctly been placed as the father.

Next you must go to your Thai wifes local town hall, you have 15 days from the birth of the baby to register the baby. Then the baby must be placed in the house book which is known as the Tabien bann. This can be done at the same time as registering your Baby.

register the baby with the Australian embassy

Once all this is done you can then register the baby with the Australian embassy in Bangkok and apply for an Australian passport. This will give you baby dual nationality.
